This website synthesizes the existing literature on prairie fire ecology, provides practical recommendations for land managers, shares results from relevant research, and highlights a new Central Coast prairie mapping tool.
Who we are
The Coastal Prairie Fire Working Group is a collaboration of over 25 agencies to share knowledge on how fire affects prairies. We are funded by the UC Santa Cruz Center for Coastal Climate Resilience.
